Water
Every living thing on earth needs water to survive. Not only for drinking but for bathing and other sanitary needs. But when a disaster occurs, we can not always get to clean sources of water. The Red Cross and other relief effort organizations pass out water, but there is so many who need the water there is never enough to go around.

About 70% of the earth's surface is covered with water. But only about 2% is freshwater. Streams, lakes, rivers and groundwater are the sources that provide us with most of the water we need daily. The water in oceans contain salt, so we can not drink or use it.

"You don't know the worth of water until your well runs dry."

The government is actively involved in protecting our water. The Federal government has set up separate departments for water. Here are some helpful website on water:

You can't drink ocean water.
Try finding clean water when your whole town is under water.

Thank God for the Red Cross.
