Air, tied
with water from both the macroscopic view to even the
molecular level as well as rank in necessity. Our
atmosphere is made up of different gasses that forms our
air. It protects us from harmful rays, and produces
somewhat a giant biosphere terrarium containing all life
on earth within. Its been with us for 5.2 billion years,
the wonderful aerodynamic fluid that fills our lungs and
keeps our muscles working; however, that same precious
air is now threatened by pollution caused by
fossil-fuel-burning factories around the world. Many
times, in time of disaster or on certain situations in
which the air is too hazardous or toxic, clean air is
extremely lacking. |

Basic Facts on The Air we
Breathe
The atmosphere around us basically consists of the air we
breathe. A misconception among many people is the belief that
the term air is interchangeable with oxygen. Fact is, our
atmosphere's air contains a mixture of various gasses: 78%
Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, 1% other gasses. This is the fixed
ratio, but as Carbon dioxide is on the rise, it most likely
will change. As a result of the accumulation and span of air
pollution, many issues have arisen, among them--Global
Warming. Respiratory illnesses have increased a rate of
occurrence globally; more and more people have become aware of
this issue and have set up agencies such as the EPA or the
AQI. Our air is in danger.

Air
Written in Ancient Philosophy
In the ancient world, the philosophy of the Tao or "the
Way", has long been accepted in the east. The five elements:
water, air, fire, earth,
metal from which everything we now know was created. Wind,
which carried whispers to the gods. Air, which carried the
breath of life from which arose Adam and Eve. Gales, which
wreaked havoc during the tempests of plays and stories. Air
which can take many forms and become our worst nightmares.
