Wildlife Photography in Texas & Mexico:
Provider Activity and Market Demand

Information and Consent Form

You have been asked to complete an online survey as part of a study to understand the interest in wildlife photography as an income operation. Wildlife photography as an income operation is relatively new and your answers to this survey will help increase understanding of this activity and may help guide development assistance. This information will be used to help improve opportunities for wildlife photography and international cooperation along the Texas – Mexico border.

This survey is administered by the Texas Cooperative Extension and funded, in part, by a grant from the USDA. The primary investigators are Miles Phillips and Jennifer Hageman. Approximately 10 wildlife photography providers similar to your operation will be asked to participate in this study. This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Do not add your name or other identifying data to the survey. Survey results are anonymous and will not be connected to an individual site name or address.

The characteristics of this study are as follows:

  • Your participation is voluntary;
  • Your identity will remain anonymous;
  • The IP address of your computer will not be recorded;
  • You can elect to withdraw at any time without penalty;
  • There are no positive or negative benefits from responding to this survey;
  • There is no compensation;
  • The survey will be used for research;
  • The results will be stored and kept for three years on a computer hard drive and then destroyed;
  • The data obtained from the survey may be published.
